Questions and answers

Can I take advantages of the services that Vivràdom provides even though I do not benefit from a private insurance nor do I have complementary insurance, is this possible?

One does not need to have private nor complementary insurance to benefit from our services as our offers are covered by the basic insurance. In the case of some specific services that are only covered by the complementary insurances the applicant to the individual support in line with the article of law (Loi d’aide aux personnes recourant à l’action médico-sociale (LAPRAMS) might be granted that benefit at some specific condition.

What are the added values of Vivràdom?

We offer high quality home care and support, we are attentive to the need of our patients. We offer regular intervention hours and as much as possible by the same carer so to not disturb your habits.

Should I expect different caregivers?

All of our service beneficiaries have a point of contact that organizes their daily care. This situation can arise only if your point of contact evaluates that you might need extra support but this remains extremely rare. In such case only we appoint extra support to intervene.

Are you able to provide homecare in a timely manner?

We value the quality of life of our patient and thus make all necessary effort to respect you will.

Do you have situational point of contact?

Our team is composed of one referent for each situation. A Head Nurse and his/her assistant will supervise the progress of the carer for all of our beneficiaries.

What are your hourly rates?

Our rates are governed by the department of health.

I need a specific medical device, can you provide it for me?

It will be a duty for us to either provide you the right address or to go get it and deliver it to you.

If it is a device found in LiMA covered by the basic insurance then the pharmacies are able to provide it.

For any other specific medical device (please specify which one) then we will guide you to provide it.

May I choose the visiting hours of my caregiver?

The visit hours are agreed between you and the nurse who is your point of contact. After reassessment of your file it might be possible to reschedule of your carer intervention.

Vivradom endeavors to align with your wishes yet the last minute changes and other obligation linked to home care might delay the intervention up to 30 minutes.

Can I expect to have always the same caregiver to come visit?

We do our best to provide you the same caregiver. However we have an emergency intervention team to cover for the unplanned absence of a caregiver. Note also that in case there is a need of an extra caregiver for your treatment, and during the intervention request out of office hours, there might be changes of caregivers.

→ In order to maintain a relation of trust we will plan the same caregiver to come for your home care. In case of unplanned situations or the need for extra caregivers for your treatment we will make sure to provide the same quality of care and to respect your routine.

I have an unplanned event and therefor I must cancel the apointment, how should I proceed?

the appointment must be cancelled 48 hours in advance, otherwise it will be charged to you except in case of emergency or absolute necessity.

Am I free to stop working with you at any time?

There is no obligation and you can decide to no longer use our services. We are well aware that your needs might change and rapidly evolve. However your doctor needs to contact us to let us know and confirm of the change.

Your contract can be terminated by a registered letter, while respecting one month prior notice. The date of receipt by Vivradom will prevail for the acceptance of the cancellation.

Failure to comply with the notice period will include extra administrative cost at your charge.

Should the patient wish to use the service of another home care company the transfer will be deemed complete once the document called Document Médico-Social de Transmission (DMST ) is transferred to the new healthcare provider. The same condition apply as well should Vivradom wish to free itself of care mandate.

Will the bill be handed to me via the nurse?

→ In principle the home care services are covered by the basic insurance not including the insurance deductible franchise and share. The cost can be handled by the state grants. The service that are not covered or are not subsidized must be paid by the beneficiaries.

Vivradom sends a monthly detailed invoice to your insurance company where you receive a copy of the same. Once the file is processed you receive a detailed account of the service provided is shared with you by your insurance.
